I am 29 years old and while going to college I was diagnosed with cancer and have been living with it for 3 years. Up until 3 months ago I didn’t have insurance. $300,000 later, I am finally on medicare. I had been rejected from Medicaid because my wife made too much at her $11 an hour job. During my treatment my wife had to work her 40 hours at work so that we could pay rent then sleep every night at the hospital. As of now, I receive minimal from Disability. We are thankful for our family and friends who are part of the 99% that have found ways to help us.
